The short version: Your MRI report is used only to generate your translation. It is never sold, never shared with third parties, and is deleted after 30 days. We collect minimal information and handle it with the highest level of care.
1. Information We Collect
When you submit an MRI report through MRIviz, we collect:
- Your MRI report — the PDF, image, or document you upload, used solely to generate your translation.
- Your email address — used to send you your personalized report link and any follow-up communications you request.
- Basic usage data — standard analytics data (page views, device type) collected via Google Analytics to help us improve the product. This data is anonymized and not linked to your MRI report.
We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect payment information during the beta period.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your MRI report is used for one purpose only: to generate your personalized plain-English translation. Specifically:
- Your report is processed by our AI system (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to extract and translate findings.
- The translation is reviewed by a physician before being returned to you.
- Your email address is used to deliver your report link and, if you opt in, to send occasional product updates.
We do not use your MRI report to train AI models. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your MRI report with any third parties.
The only external service that processes your report content is Anthropic's API (the AI model that performs the translation). Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or other healthcare organizations.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users, but we will notify you if we are legally permitted to do so.
4. Data Retention
Your report link is active for 30 days from the date it is created. After 30 days, the link expires and all associated report data is permanently deleted from our servers.
Your email address is retained only as long as necessary to deliver your report and respond to any follow-up questions. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us at [email protected].
5. Security
MRIviz is served over HTTPS. Report submissions are transmitted securely via encrypted connections. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information during transmission and storage.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have concerns about sharing sensitive medical information, please contact us before submitting.
6. Children's Privacy
MRIviz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the information we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your data at any time.
- Opt out of any email communications at any time by replying to any email with "unsubscribe."
